Social Responsibility is about two things:
- Our Clients’ Needs
- The World Around Us
Here at TransCorr we believe that the needs of our clients come first; above our own needs and above our bottom line. In fact, our “bottom line” is to make you happy. We want your transportation division to run more smoothly than ever before. We want your business to boom because all of your shipments and freight arrive on time and in top condition. If we can’t make this happen for you, then we aren’t doing our job right.
Our second responsibility is to the world around us. We realized that diesel engine trucks aren’t doing our environment any favors, but we try to keep our carbon footprint on the lower side of the impact. We do everything we can to maximize our efficiency by doing a few things:
- We take the safest and most direct routes to destination, thereby cutting down on fuel usage.
- We maximize the space on every load we carry so we aren’t transporting half empty trailers.
- We train our drivers to drive safely, eliminating wasted fuel caused by speeding.
- We keep our trucks and equipment in tip-top shape, ensuring they always run smoothly.
- We work with SmartWay Transport Partner, and are continually searching for new ways to reduce emissions and increase efficiency.
In addition to our in-house efforts to be greener and more efficient, we also strive to serve our community in several ways throughout the year. Below are some of the organizations we partner with and volunteer our services to:
- The Agape Families: A non-profit foster home in Hamilton County that focuses its efforts on keeping siblings together and encouraging lasting family bonds.
- Kingdoms Closet: A clothing distribution service for foster children that works with Agape Families. They distribute approximately 800-1000 bags of clothing to needy children every year.
- The Boy Scouts of America: Leadership training, teamwork education and self esteem building for boys.
- Boys and Girls Club of Zionsville, Camptown & The Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Central Indiana : Organizations designed to keep kids off the streets and in school by putting positive, adult influences in their lives, and providing them with great experiences and friendships that can last a lifetime.
